 We are a vibrant community dedicated to celebrating and sharing the rich tapestry of Vietnamese arts and culture. Our group is a gathering of passionate individuals united by a love for the arts and a commitment to building a supportive, inclusive community.


More than just a collection of talents, we are a dynamic collective that thrives on collaboration, encouragement, and the celebration of cultural diversity. Through various artistic expressions, festivals, and cultural events, we aim to create a sense of belonging and provide a platform for everyone to contribute their unique voice to our shared creative journey.

Our Story

AVAC

  

Founded in 2010 by Thuy Dang, Australian Vietnamese Arts and Culture (AVAC), also known as Australian Vietnamese Arts (AVA), was established to create a distinctive platform for Australians of Vietnamese heritage to preserve their culture through artistic expression. 

In response to the community's urgent needs following the COVID-19 pandemic, AVAC expanded its services to support vulnerable individuals.

OUR COMMITTEE

Mai Nguyen - President

  Mai brings extensive business management experience to the role, honed through years at the Department of Education.   Mai’s community spirit drives her to always try to make a positive impact on people’s lives.  

Hung Nguyen - Vice President External Affairs

 

Hung's deep understanding of the not-for-profit sector, coupled with a Master's degree in Accounting and CPA certification.  Beyond his financial acumen, Hung is a dedicated community member, volunteering his time and expertise to support local initiatives.  

Phuc Le - Vice President Internal Affairs

 

Phuc's dual Master's degrees in Health Administration and Professional Business Analysis equip him with a unique skill set for project management in both private and public sectors. 

Le Uyen Tram Vo - Secretary

  With a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Management, coupled with CPA Public Practice qualifications and over a decade of experience as a Registered BAS agent, Le provides invaluable financial guidance to AVAC in addition to her secretarial duties. 

Hieu Tran - Treasure

With over 30 years of experience in bookkeeping. Hieu is responsible for the financial stewardship of our organisation, ensuring transparency, accountability, and sustainability.
